Rip Me Apart with a Scalpel - Danielle Mikaelian

Writer's picture: HOW BlogHOW Blog

Syringes pierce through portraits.

Paint twists off –

peels into oranges.

Pastel pulmonary arteries,

Veins of vulturous blue.

Avant-garde arteries. Labyrinthine,

laparoscopic lines etched into

patient portraits.

Noise, now —-

quiet, later.

Primer

potted into surgeon palms,

pouring into patient mouth,

anesthesia.

feverish fantasy dream,

rip and stitch

only, a

museum in a hospital room.
