Today is almost here to begin yet again,
a centripetal force without an end,
a 360 turn of new but used,
an endless cycle of mathematical proof.
To sleep to wake to sleep to wake,
a facade of hope to wear we make,
to work to pay to somehow eat,
grow hungry again as our bodies we beat.
Waiting for change as time exhausts,
an echo of those we once lost,
those who are left continue at best,
a gravitational force that cannot rest.
Children hungry, war, and disease;
to have the time to care and see,
to somehow change the world’s course,
you must be an outside force.
